Documentation of a performance on the island of Lauttasaari in Helsinki, with a fir cone costume made of paper compost bags, textile, acrylic paint, flour, white glue and zippers.

The cone walks from north to south, allowing seeds made of thin brown paper fall to the ground along its way.

Popular scientific literature talks about how the Norweigan sprouce came wandering from the north when the ice sheet withdrew from the Nordic countries around 12 000 years ago at the end of the last glacial period. The spruce came walking at a certain speed, infinitely slow, but still.
